What is a pretty scale test?
A pretty scale test compares a handful of face proportions with fixed reference values and turns the gaps into a score out of 100. The best-known version asks you to drag points onto your photo by hand. Here the same eight ratios are measured from detected landmarks after the face is levelled on the eye line, so small clicking errors do not decide the result and you can repeat the test on a second photo in seconds.
Eight ratios, each scored in steps
For every ratio the pretty scale test calculates how close your value is to the reference, as a percentage. That closeness is then converted into a step score: 60% or below counts as 20, up to 70% counts as 30, and so on until values above 95% keep their own number. The ratio score is the average of the eight steps.
Measure more facial ratiosThree photo penalties, shown separately
After the ratios, the score is reduced for three things: a lip line that sits outside 34–38% of the nose-to-chin height, eye spacing more than 6.4% from the reference, and left–right differences across four landmark pairs. Each penalty appears on its own line, so you can see exactly how many points it removed.

Why use our pretty scale test?
Scores are easy to over-read. This pretty scale test keeps the arithmetic visible, does not add hidden adjustments and measures the photo on your own device. It describes one image against one reference set; it is not a verdict on beauty, which depends on expression, style and the person looking.
Private, local measurement
Landmark detection and every calculation run in your browser. Your photo is not uploaded, no account is required and nothing is stored after you close the page. If you later choose a paid report, that upload is a separate step you confirm yourself.
Read the privacy policyNo random score floor
Some versions of the pretty scale never show a score below about 45 to 50, whatever the measurements say. This pretty scale test reports the real calculated number and tells you when a floor would have applied, so a low result is understood as a measurement outcome rather than hidden.

Add a straight, neutral photo
Look directly into the camera with your head level, mouth closed and hair away from the jaw, forehead and cheeks. Use soft, even light and hold the camera at eye height about an arm's length away so the lens does not widen the face.
Line up your photo in a true mirrorChoose a reference set and read each ratio
Pick the women or men reference set; it is a comparison choice, not something inferred from the photo. The pretty scale test then lists all eight ratios with your value, the reference, the closeness and the step score.
Check your face symmetryCheck the penalties before the total
Read the three penalty lines and the final score together. If one penalty dominates, retake the photo with a straighter pose to see whether posture rather than proportion caused it, and compare the result with the other face measurement tools.
Take the attractiveness test
- 1Add one clear photo or open the camera.
- 2Use the controls to inspect or adjust the result.
- 3Save, print, or continue only when the result is useful.
Pretty scale test FAQ
Am I pretty scale?
People search this when they want a number for their own face. A pretty scale test can give a score for one photo's proportions, but it cannot tell you whether you are pretty: that depends on expression, styling, culture and who is looking. Use the score to understand your measurements, not to judge yourself.
Is pretty scale accurate?
The arithmetic is exact for the points it receives, but the result depends on the photo. Head tilt, lens distance, expression and hair covering the face edge all move landmarks. Automatic placement removes hand-dragging errors; testing two or three similar photos shows how stable your score really is.
Is pretty scale dangerous?
The measurement itself is harmless, but chasing a number can hurt how you feel about your face. Keep in mind that the reference values are one site's choice, that photos distort proportions, and that no score measures worth. If a result upsets you, step away from rating tools.
How does pretty scale work?
It measures eight face ratios, scores each one by how close it is to a reference value, averages those step scores and then subtracts penalties for lip position, eye spacing and asymmetry. This pretty scale test shows every one of those numbers on the result.
Is this pretty scale test free online?
Yes. The pretty scale test runs online in your browser for free, with no account and no limit on how many photos you check.
What does my pretty scale rating mean?
It shows how closely one photo's eight ratios match the chosen reference set, minus the three penalties. A higher number means closer agreement with those references; it is not a ranking among people and it can change with a different photo.
Do filters change a pretty scale test result?
Yes. Beauty filters and face-reshaping effects move the jaw, eyes and nose, which changes the ratios directly. Use an unedited photo if you want the score to describe your face rather than the filter.
Is this an AI pretty scale test?
A machine-learning landmark model finds the points on your face, but the score is plain arithmetic with published reference values. No AI model judges your attractiveness or rewrites the result.
Does the pretty scale test rate my body?
No. It reads only facial landmarks from a front photo. Height, weight and body shape are not measured.
Which eight ratios does the pretty scale test measure?
Face width to height, lower face to forehead, face width to eye spacing, face width to nose width, eye-to-lip to eye-to-nose, mouth width to nose width, eye-to-lip to lip-to-chin, and face height to eye-to-lip.
Should I pick the women or men reference set?
Choose the set you want to compare against. The two sets use slightly different reference values; the test never guesses gender from the photo, and you can switch to see both results.
How is this different from prettyscale.com?
It uses the same eight ratios and reference values, but places the points automatically from 478 landmarks, levels the face on the eye line first, shows the formula and does not apply a hidden 45–50 score floor.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The photo is decoded and measured in your browser and is not sent to a server for the free score.
