What is a how old do I look test?
An apparent-age test reads one portrait and returns the age the photo seems to show, not the age on your ID. This tool gives you two kinds of evidence side by side: a written AI estimate you request on purpose, and pixel maps calculated on your own device. Keeping the two sources apart helps you judge how much weight a number deserves.
Use the face age calculator as a way to ask a limited question about one image. A clear front view, an evenly lit face and a relaxed expression give the tool more consistent material to inspect. A striking number can still be a weak observation. Read the uncertainty note and look back at the original photograph before drawing conclusions about your appearance.
The AI age estimate from your photo
When you press the estimate button, the prepared photo goes to an external AI model that returns an overall apparent age, a tentative range and short notes for the forehead, eyes, midface, mouth and jaw. A region the model cannot read stays marked as unestimated instead of copying the overall number.
Try the AI skin analysisLine and tone maps that stay in your browser
The Lines view highlights fine detail such as creases, pores and stubble, and the Tone view compares darker patches across the face. Both are calculated from the photo's pixels in your browser. They describe this image, not wrinkles counted on your skin, and they do not predict an age by themselves.
Check your eye shapeThe five regions are forehead, eyes, midface, mouth and jaw. A tint represents a region's difference from the overall model estimate; it does not mean the region has a different real age. Differences within one year receive a neutral treatment. Null regions keep an unestimated label. A missing regional response does not get filled with the overall number.
Local luminance filtering highlights fine-detail patterns within a face mask. It can respond to pores, beard stubble, image noise and sharpening as well as visible lines. The six region shares are weighted contributions to that image signal, not counts of wrinkles or areas of damaged skin. Their regions can overlap, and rounding may change the displayed total.
Tone uses local luminance and colour compensation to compare darker residual patterns in the photograph. Lighting, makeup, facial hair, exposure and camera processing can affect it. The map does not identify a skin condition or establish a cause. A change in this signal between photos is not evidence that skin health or biological age changed.
Why use our how old do I look tool?
Most face age apps show a single number with no explanation. Here you can see which face regions pushed the estimate up or down, slide between each map and the original photo, and save a result card only after you have checked it.
An online age guess with consent at every step
Opening a photo prepares a local preview and sends nothing. The AI estimate runs only after you confirm you are an adult and give two separate permissions: one to analyse the portrait and one to send it to the external provider. The line and tone maps never leave your device.
Read our privacy policyHonest about what one photo can show
Light, camera distance, focus, expression, makeup and filters all change how old a face looks in a picture. The range shown is the model's own guess, not a tested error margin, and the tool is not age verification or a health check. Compare photos taken in similar conditions before reading anything into a change.
Find your face shapeCamera distance, expression, focus, white balance and directional light all change the evidence available in one image. Neither the local face check nor a neatly formatted response validates the age estimate. The displayed range comes from the model and is not a tested error margin. We do not claim a fixed number of years of accuracy, an age-verification system, or a health assessment.
Birth year is used only for this request's adult eligibility check. A year alone cannot establish whether someone's birthday has passed or verify identity. The tool requires permission to use an adult portrait and separate permission to send it to an external AI provider. Local map failures and remote estimate failures are displayed separately. A retry is an explicit new action, and resetting the workspace does not prove that a previously sent provider request was undone.
How to check how old you look in 3 steps
1. Choose a clear adult portrait
Upload a recent front-facing photo, drop a file or start your camera and capture a frame. Keep the whole face visible, avoid strong beauty filters and side shadows, and make sure only one face is in the picture. Then enter your birth year and review the two permissions.
See your true mirror view2. Compare each map with the original
Switch between Age map, Lines and Tone, and move the reveal slider to compare the overlay with the same photo. Switching views reuses the maps already calculated, so it never sends another request or creates an edited face.
Try a free color analysis3. Read the regions and save your card
Read the overall estimate with its range and uncertainty note, then check all five region notes, including any left unestimated. Save a share card after checking its preview, or continue to the complete report if you want a fuller written analysis.

Questions about appearance age
How old do I look?
Upload one clear adult portrait or capture a frame with your camera, confirm your birth year and permissions, and the AI returns a tentative apparent age with a range and notes for five face regions. Treat it as an impression of one photo, not a fact about you.
How old do I look app?
No download is needed. The tool runs in a mobile or desktop browser, including camera capture, and the line and tone maps are calculated on your device.
How old do I look AI?
The written estimate comes from an external AI image model that you request on purpose. It reads visible cues such as skin texture, the eye area and the jawline, and returns an apparent age with short regional notes.
How old do I look online free?
Yes, the estimate, the five region notes, the maps and the share card are free and need no account. A complete written report is an optional paid extra.
How old do I look test?
The test is one estimate from one photo. For a fairer picture, run it on two or three photos taken in similar light and compare the region notes rather than only the headline number.
How old do I look photo?
Use a recent, sharp, front-facing photo with even light and a relaxed expression. Group shots, heavy filters, sunglasses and strong side shadows give the model weaker evidence.
How old do I look filter?
This is not a face filter and it never edits your face. Beauty filters smooth texture and usually make a photo read younger, so use an unfiltered picture for a fairer estimate.
How accurate is how old do I look?
No fixed accuracy is promised. The range is the model's own guess for this photo, not a tested error margin, and another photo of you can give a different number.
Can I check how old I look with my camera?
Yes. Start the camera, capture a frame and the camera stops while a local preview is prepared. Nothing is sent until you request the estimate.
Can it guess ages in a group photo?
No. The tool checks that exactly one face is visible before it estimates, so crop a group photo to one adult face first.
Does it judge how old I look from my face only?
It reads only what is visible in the photo: face, hair and lighting. It does not use your name, birth year or any other personal details for the estimate.
Is the result my real or biological age?
No. It describes how one photo reads to a model. It is not your chronological age, biological age, health status or identity verification.
What do the age map, lines and tone views show?
Age map tints the five model regions by how far each sits from the overall estimate. Lines and Tone are local pixel maps that react to texture, stubble, lighting and makeup.
Why do you ask for my birth year?
Only to confirm the request comes from an adult. It is not sent to the model, not used in the estimate and not stored in a report.
Is my photo uploaded to check how old I look?
Only for the AI estimate, and only after your separate consent to send it to the external provider. The face check, line and tone maps and share card stay in your browser.
