A good photo makes the difference

  • Look straight at the camera, with your head level.
  • Use even daylight, without strong side shadows.
  • Keep your face visible. Remove glasses and avoid filters.
  • Use a recent photo with just one face and a neutral expression.

Measurements describe this photo. Camera distance, expression and lighting can change the result. They are not a medical assessment or a measure of your worth.

What is a jawline rating?

A jawline rating summarises how your jaw reads in a front photo. Instead of one opinion score, this jawline rating shows four measured readings, each drawn on your photo so you can see where it came from. The diagrams below show the anchors behind each one.

Mean corner angleSchematic of two jaw-corner angles formed by lines towards the cheeks and chin; each vertex is at a jaw corner.

Mean corner angle

Mean of angles at the two detected jaw corners, each between its chin and cheek arms.

Jaw-to-cheek widthSchematic comparing the distance between jaw corners with the cheekbone span.

Jaw-to-cheek width

Jaw-corner span divided by cheekbone span.

Lower-face shareSchematic comparing nose-base-to-chin distance with visible top-to-chin distance.

Lower-face share

Nose-base-to-chin distance divided by the distance from the visible face-mesh top to the chin.

Jaw symmetry indexSchematic showing a fitted five-point midline and three reflected pairs with residual segments.

Jaw symmetry index

Three jaw-region point pairs compared across a fitted midline; this is a preset index.

Original anchor schematics, not a portrait analysis or a predicted result.

Jaw corner angles in a jawline test

Each angle is measured at a detected jaw corner, between lines toward the cheek and the chin. It is a 2D photo angle, not the internal bone angle an X-ray would show, and it shifts if you turn or tilt your head.

Jaw width and lower-face share

Jaw-to-cheek width compares the distance between your jaw corners with your cheekbone span. Lower-face share compares nose-base-to-chin length with the visible face height. Neither is better when higher or lower.

Measure more facial ratios

These are visible two-dimensional photo constructions. The jaw-corner vertex differs from an angle measured at the chin, and the jawline rating does not measure an internal bone angle or three-dimensional anatomy.

Why use our jawline rating?

You see the exact lines behind every number, so you can judge whether the photo was measured well before trusting the jawline rating.

How we handle photos

A jawline score with honest limits

Perspective, pose, expression and detection all affect visible geometry. The scores follow stated presets and a dated external table; they do not decide attractiveness, health or treatment.

Check your face symmetry
How to read a jawline rating carefully

Image perspective, pose, expression and detection can affect visible geometry. Jawline rating scores summarize explicit presets and do not determine attractiveness, health, personality or treatment needs.

The two external ratio positions compare a dated source table only. There is no equivalent licensed external angle or jaw-symmetry distribution here, and no personal accuracy claim follows from either table or score.

How to use it in 3 steps

  1. Choose a front view

Keep your head level, your full jaw visible and your expression relaxed. Use even light and a camera distance you can repeat if you want to compare photos later.

Check your pose in the true mirror
  2. Review each jawline reading

Run the scan, then select all four readings in turn. Check that the points follow your jaw; if hair, a beard edge or a shadow misleads them, retake the photo.

    Compare with the golden ratio
  3. Save your jawline rating card

The card lists all four values with the angle geometry and reference notes. Decide whether to include your photo before downloading or sharing it.

Jawline rating FAQ

How to get a better jawline?

Body fat, posture, beard shape and lighting change how sharp a jawline looks in photos. Bone structure sets the rest; this jawline rating measures how it reads, not how to change it.

Does chewing gum help jawline?

There is little evidence that chewing gum reshapes the jaw. Heavy chewing can strain the jaw joint, so ask a dentist before trying it for looks.

Do jawline exercises work?

Evidence for mewing, chin tucks and jaw trainers is weak. Good posture can make the jaw look clearer in photos, but it does not change the bone.

Do braces change your jawline?

Orthodontic treatment can change bite and lip position, which may slightly change the lower face. Only an orthodontist can say what to expect for you.

How much is jawline surgery?

Prices vary widely by country, clinic and procedure. Fillers, Botox and surgery are medical treatments with risks; discuss them with a licensed clinician.

What is a jawline?

The jawline is the lower edge of your face, running from below each ear to the chin along the jaw bone.

Do I have a good jawline?

There is no single standard. This jawline rating shows four measured readings so you can see your angles and proportions, not a verdict on your looks.

How to get a sharper jawline for men?

Lower body fat, upright posture and a beard shaped along the jaw edge are the main levers. Scan with your usual beard to see how it reads.

How to lose jawline fat?

Fat cannot be lost from one spot; overall weight change affects the face too. Lighting and head angle also change how full the jaw looks.

How to get a jawline female?

Contouring, hairstyle and posture are the main ways to define the jaw in photos. The jawline rating works the same for everyone.

Is jawline genetic?

Mostly. Jaw bone shape is inherited, while age, weight and muscle tone change the soft tissue over it.

How to get a snatched jawline?

A darker contour just under the jaw edge and a highlight above it create a sharper look in photos, without changing the measured bone.

How to trim beard for jawline?

Keep a clean edge along the jaw and slightly shorter sides to emphasise the angle. A full beard can widen the measured jaw corners.

Is there a jawline rating app?

You do not need an app. This jawline rating runs in your phone or desktop browser and analyses the photo on your device.

Is this jawline rating done by AI?

A machine-learning model finds facial landmarks, then plain geometry calculates the readings. No AI decides how attractive your jaw is.

Is this jawline rating free online?

Yes. All four readings and the card download are free; only the optional full face report is paid.

What does the jaw angle in the result measure?

It is the 2D angle at each jaw corner between lines toward the cheek and the chin. Turning or tilting your head changes it.

Does the jawline rating upload my photo?

No. The scan runs in your browser and the free result stays on your device. A paid report asks for separate consent before any upload.
