AI skin analysis

Get a free AI skin analysis from one clear photo. Compare four appearance maps for visible redness, tone, texture and shine, see where each signal sits across six face zones, and add a written observation only if you choose.

Skin photo appearance workspace

Start with one clear adult portrait. The free scan measures pixels in this browser and keeps the four maps separate from optional written observations.

A good photo makes the difference

  • Look straight at the camera, with your head level.
  • Use even daylight, without strong side shadows.
  • Keep your face visible. Remove glasses and avoid filters.
  • Use a recent photo with just one face and a neutral expression.

You will see four relative overlays, six regional contribution rows and an optional written appearance summary.

Your photo is prepared locally as JPEG, and the free scan runs in this browser. The scanner loads its engine from this site; your photo is not sent to us or any third party. A complete report uploads the same prepared photo only after your separate consent.

What is AI skin analysis?

AI skin analysis reads a face photo and describes how the skin appears in it, such as unevenness, texture or shine. This AI skin analysis keeps two jobs apart: local image math draws four maps on your device, and an optional AI model writes a short observation in fixed cosmetic categories.

Keeping those outputs separate makes the limits clearer: a colorful overlay is a relative pixel signal, and a written label is a tentative reading of one photograph.

Four skin maps drawn in your browser

After a face is found, your browser builds a skin mask and highlights relative signals for redness, tone variation, surface texture and shine. A reveal slider compares each overlay with the photo, and six overlapping zones show where the selected signal is concentrated.

An optional written observation from AI

If you want words as well, the prepared portrait can be sent to an external AI model that describes texture evenness, tone evenness, surface appearance, shine balance and visible lines. It does not receive the maps, and it gives no treatment advice.

Four maps, four different questions
Visible redness

Highlights relative red-channel variation after local color conversion and masked smoothing.

Tone variation

Shows relative luminance variation inside the eligible visible skin region.

Surface texture

Compares fine local luminance differences with a broader masked baseline.

Visible shine

Highlights brighter low-chroma areas that appear as visible shine in this photograph.

Why use our AI skin analysis?

Skin apps often give a single skin score or push a product routine. Here you see the evidence itself, map by map, with a plain note on what each signal can and cannot mean, so you can track how photos compare over time.

A free AI skin analysis that keeps maps on your device

The four maps and the zone shares are calculated in your browser, with no account or download. The written observation runs only after you confirm you are an adult and give separate permission to upload the prepared photo.

Cosmetic appearance, not a medical diagnosis

Lighting, white balance, makeup and compression change every map. The results describe one photo's appearance, not skin health, disease, acne grading, hydration, sun damage or biological age. See a dermatologist for any skin concern.

Run the face symmetry test
Photo appearance, not a diagnosis

Camera white balance, compression, makeup, expression and lighting can change every output. The six zones overlap and their percentages describe signal contribution rather than affected area.

This page does not infer disease, skin health, biological age, hydration quantity, UV damage or a treatment outcome. Use a qualified professional for medical concerns.

How to do an AI skin analysis in 3 steps

  1. 1. Take a clear, evenly lit photo

Face soft front light, remove filters and beauty modes, and keep the whole face visible with hair off the forehead. Use the same light and distance each time if you want to compare photos later.

    See your true mirror view
  2. 2. Compare the four maps

Switch between redness, tone, texture and shine, drag the reveal slider to check each overlay against the photo, and read the six zone shares for the selected map. Higher shares mean more of that signal, not more damage.

    Find your face shape
  3. 3. Add a written observation if you want

Enter your birth year, confirm the two permissions and request the written observation. Save a share card after checking its preview, or continue to the complete report for broader face and styling context.

AI skin analysis FAQ

How to do a skin analysis?

At home, take a clear photo in soft front light without filters, upload it and compare the redness, tone, texture and shine maps. Repeat with the same light and distance to compare photos over time.

What is a skin analysis?

It is a look at how skin appears, such as tone, texture, redness and shine. In a clinic it is done in person with lamps or devices; this AI skin analysis does it from one photo.

Is skin analysis worth it?

A free photo check is a low-effort way to notice patterns and compare photos taken in the same conditions. It cannot replace a dermatologist when you have a real skin concern.

Why is skin analysis important?

Seeing where shine, texture or redness shows up in a photo helps you describe your skin more clearly and notice changes in consistent photos. The maps describe appearance, not health.

What can a digital skin analysis tell me?

It can show relative patterns of redness, tone, texture and shine in one photo and where they concentrate. It cannot measure hydration, sun damage, skin age or any condition.

Is this AI skin analysis free online?

Yes. The maps, zone shares, written observation and share card are free and need no account. Only the complete report is a paid option.

Is AI skin analysis accurate?

The maps faithfully show signals in the photo, but the photo itself changes with light, white balance, makeup and compression. Treat any AI skin analysis as a comparison aid, not a measurement of your skin.

Do I need an AI skin analysis app?

No. The AI skin analysis runs in your phone or desktop browser, including camera capture, so there is nothing to install.

Can I use my camera for an AI skin analysis?

Yes. Start the camera, face soft front light and capture a frame. The camera stops after capture and the maps are drawn on your device.

Can AI skin analysis detect acne?

No. The redness and texture maps can respond to blemishes, but they also respond to light, stubble and makeup. The tool does not identify or grade acne.

Can it detect skin cancer or skin disease?

No. This tool describes cosmetic appearance only and must not be used to check moles, lesions or rashes. See a dermatologist about any changing or worrying spot.

Does AI skin analysis tell my skin age?

No. It does not estimate skin or biological age. For an appearance-age estimate from a photo, use the separate age tool.

What do the four skin maps show?

Redness, tone variation, surface texture and shine are relative pixel signals inside the measured skin mask. Brighter areas mean a stronger signal in this photo, not a problem.

Do the zone percentages show how much skin is affected?

No. The six overlapping zones split the selected map's signal contribution and may round to 99% or 101%. They are not severity or surface area.

Is my photo uploaded for the skin maps?

No. The maps run in your browser. A photo is uploaded only if you request the written observation and confirm the adult and upload permissions, or start a complete report.
