Print a lash mapping template at true size. Pick one of five patterns, set the eye width in millimetres and print or save the sheet as a PDF. A 50 mm check line confirms the scale before you trace.

What is a lash mapping template?
A lash mapping template is a printed outline of an eye with the lash line split into zones and a length written in each. Lash students trace and fill it in to learn how length placement changes the shape of a set; working artists keep one per client as a record. This lash mapping template draws the zones to scale from the eye width you enter, so the spacing on paper matches a real eye rather than a generic cartoon.
Five patterns on one template
Switch between natural, doll, open, cat eye and squirrel layouts. Each pattern prints with five zones from the inner to the outer corner and the millimetre length written in every zone, so the same sheet works for quick practice or a client consultation. Natural starts at 8 mm and peaks at 11 mm, while cat eye climbs to 13 mm at the outer corner, so printing two patterns side by side makes the difference obvious.

The default eye width is 28 mm, a common adult lash-line length. Change it to a measured width and the zones stretch or shrink to match. That keeps tracing exercises realistic and helps when a client has a particularly short or long lash line. Very small or very large widths are useful for checking how a pattern would need to be compressed or spread for petite or wide-set eyes.

Why use this printable lash mapping template?
Many free lash mapping template downloads are images that print at whatever size the printer chooses. This one is generated in your browser at true size, includes a scale check and changes with your inputs, so you never have to edit a PDF by hand. Because the lash mapping template is drawn from the same five patterns as the photo-based lash map tool, the numbers you print match the numbers you see on screen.
Accurate print scale
A 50 mm line sits on every sheet. Print at 100% or actual size with fit-to-page turned off, then measure the line with a ruler. If it is not exactly 50 mm, the printer scaled the page and the lengths will be off. Check the line again on every new printer or after changing paper size, because default settings often shrink pages to fit the margins.

Lash mapping template FAQ
What lash curl and mm to purchase chart?
Start from the lengths on the pattern you plan to use: most maps here run from 8 mm at the inner corner to 12 or 13 mm at the outer zones, so a mixed tray of 8–13 mm covers all five. Curl is a separate choice; C and D curls are common starting points, and your lash artist will match curl to your natural lashes.
Is there a blank lash mapping template?
The template always prints the zone outlines; the lengths of the chosen pattern are written in. For a blank practice sheet, print it and write your own lengths over them, or use the natural pattern as a neutral base.
Can I download the lash mapping template as a PDF?
Yes. Use Print and choose Save as PDF as the destination. The PDF keeps the true-size layout as long as you keep the scale at 100%.
Is this printable lash mapping template free?
Yes. The printable lash mapping template is free to use and print as often as you like with no sign-up.
Can I use it as a lash map template for clusters?
Yes. Treat each zone as one or two cluster positions and choose clusters close to the length printed in that zone.
How do I print the template at the right size?
Select 100% or Actual size and turn off Fit to page. After printing, measure the 50 mm check line; if it is shorter or longer, the printer resized the page.
What eye width should I enter?
Keep 28 mm for general practice. For a client, measure the visible lash line from inner to outer corner in millimetres and enter that value. A ruler held under the eye in a mirror, or a printed PD ruler, gives a quick estimate.
Which lash map patterns are included?
Natural, doll, open, cat eye and squirrel, each with five zone lengths from the inner to the outer corner.
How should I practise with the template?
Trace the zone dividers, write the planned length in each zone, then compare your finished practice set against the sheet. Repeat with a different pattern to see how the outer zones change the shape. Many trainers ask students to complete a full sheet for each pattern before working on a mannequin.
How do I know which pattern to print?
Use the lash map tool on a front photo: it reads eye shape and corner tilt and recommends one of the five patterns, which you can then print here.
Can I use this lash mapping template in my salon or course?
Yes. The template drawing and zone lengths are licensed under CC BY 4.0, so you can print, adapt, share and use them commercially, including in salon menus, training handouts and paid courses. Credit MyStyleLens with a link to this page; the printed sheet already carries that line.
Does the template need a photo?
No. The template is drawn in your browser from the pattern and eye width you choose; no photo or upload is involved.
